SCOTT MILLANEY

 

After studying film and photography at Bournemouth College of Art, Scott started his career at Island records where he produced films for all of their artists, including Bob Marley, Roxy Music and John Martyn .

Millaney founded MGMM in 1979, which became the dominant music video production company throughout the 80's. MGMM awards for music video run to over 20 pages including 5 Grammy's , D&AD’s , Bafta and Brit Awards.

 
 

Just some of the artists Millaney has worked with include, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Queen, Elton John, Peter Gabriel and The Beatles. More recently Scott has produced Movies including;  Bloodlines - Legacy of Lord Lucan - director Brian Grant; Remote Control - Director Nick Morris; Soul Boys of the Western World - Director George Hencken.

Millaney also Founded Initial Pictures  and produced or executive produced 9 Movies  including; Sid & Nancy - Director Alex Cox; Straight to Hell - Director Alex Cox; The Rachel Papers - Director Damien Harris; Pascali's Island - Director James Dearden; Leibestraum - Director Mike Figgis; Hidden Agenda - Director Ken Loach – (Winner of the Special Jury Prize - Cannes 1990); A Kiss before Dying - Director James Dearden.

In addition to his Movie projects , Millaney also owns the TV franchise "Video Killed the Radio Star" currently broadcasting its 7th season on Sky Arts.
