DEBBIE SHUTER

Debbie started out as a runner and worked her way up to become a commercials producer before attending the National Film and Television School. Her first film 'Beigels Already' which she independently produced and directed, was picked up by the BBC and became a huge hit. Debbie then set up Insight Films with Adam Tysoe and they went on to produce documentaries for the major UK broadcasters. During this period she wrote and developed a number of feature film scripts.

Debbie's main focus became drama as she worked in feature co-productions with Sweden, Iceland and Germany. During this time, she teamed up with Producer Kim Leggatt, and in 2011 they produced 'The Veteran', a £2 million conspiracy thriller starring Brian Cox and Toby Kebbell. Debbie went on to produce the low budget feature 'Dirty Money', which was shot on location all over London. 2015 saw Debbie produce and co-direct 'Street Dance Family', which was released by the Odeon Cinema chain in 2016 and sold to Showtime in America. Top of her current development slate is 'Capture' written by Rachel Hirons.
