Darren Evans trained as a hairdresser in Australia and moved to London in 1987. Inspired by Magazines such as the Face, Blitz and ID, he found himself working on the Kings Road cutting hair in the Worlds End, Chelsea.
After meeting and collaborating with various photographers a hair and make up career was born.
Starting in fashion, has ha shot for magazine publications from Vogue, French Elle, Interview and Vanity Fair with photographers such as Uli Webber, David Bailey, Manuela Paves, Phil Knott, Bryan Adams and Tim Bret Day to name a few.
This led to another level of his career working on music promos, commercials and feature films. His most recent features include Walking On Sunshine, Street Dance 1 & 2, Fast Girls, Broken, Keeping Mum and Walker.
His work also incorporates celebrities such as Kristin Scott Thomas, Toni Collette, Rolling Stones, Annie Lennox, Rihanna and Darcy Bussell.
He know enjoys a rich diverse career picking and choosing the work he enjoys that compliments his theatrical and fashion aesthetic going from one big shoot to another across the globe.
